Dhaka Bank Limited has declared 10% percent stock and 15% cash dividend for the shareholders for the year 2008.The dividends were announced at the 14th Annual General Meeting of the bank held in the Hall of Fame, Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center on March 31, 2009.

Mr. Altaf Hossain Sarker, Chairman of the Bank presided over the meeting. The Bank earned an operating profit of Tk 2,533 million in 2008 as against Tk 2,010 million in 2007 registering an increase of 26 percent. To strengthen the capital base of the bank, capital adequacy ratio was substantially increased to 11.84 percent in the year 2008 from 10.36s percent in 2007.

Amirullah, Mr. Abdullah Al Ahsan, Mr. MNH Bulu, Mr. Jashim Uddin, Mr. GM Shameem Hussain, Independent Director Mr. Matin Uddin Ahmed Barabhuiya, Former Vice Chairperson Mrs. Afroza Abbas, Managing Director Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid and Company Secretary Mr. Arham Masudul Huq were present among others.
