Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid, Managing Director, Dhaka Bank Limited has received Bangladesh Remittance Award-2009 for his outstanding contribution in the field of remittance collection through banking channel. Hon’ble Finance Minister Mr. Abul Mal Abdul Muhith handed over the award on May 22 as chief guest on the occasion of First Bangladesh Remittance Fair held at Dhopa Dighir Purbopar at Sylhet.

The award is the first of its kind in Bangladesh, which is distributed on the basis of personal contribution in remittance collection form different parts of the world. Finance Minister has highly appreciated the tribute and requested to come forward other competitors to win the award in the next year. Among others, Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Mr. Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran and Global Economist Forum President Mr. Enayet Karim were present as Special Guests.
