A Project Inauguration Ceremony of 11 MW Power Plant implemented by Doreen Power House and Technologies Ltd. was held on August 10, 2009 at project site of Mohipal, Feni. Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Limited inaugurated the power plant. The Project started its commercial operation on April 25, 2009 and has been supplying electricity to the Rural Electrification Board (REB).

The project has been financed by 5 (five) Bank’s and Non Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) under the lead arrangement of Dhaka Bank Limited. The project has been Co-financed by Investment Promotion and Financing Facility (IPPF) project of Bangladesh Bank.

Mr. Tahzeeb Alam Siddique, Chairman and Managing Director of Doreen Power House and Technologies Limited, Mr. Tanweer Rahim, Deputy Managing Director (BB) of Dhaka Bank Limited, Mr. Khalilur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of IIDFC Limited, Mr. Selim Bhuiyan, General Manager, Feni Palli Bidyut Samity (PBS), Mr. Abdul Motaleb, President, Feni Samity Board, Mr. Haji Alauddin, President, Feni Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Senior Officials from the participating lenders and distinguished local guests were present in the Inauguration Ceremony.
