Recently Dhaka Bank Limited launched remittance banking in Comilla with the assistance of its partner PAGE Development Center through Western Union Money Transfer. In this connection a Clients’ Get-together and traditional MEZBAN was organized in Comilla Town Hall on October 24, 2009. Deputy Commissioner of Comilla Mr. Abdul Malek was present on the occasion as chief guest while the program was presided over by Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid, Managing Director, Dhaka Bank Limited. Among others Mr. Tanweer Rahim, Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Syed Faisal Omar, In-charge, Global Trade Services (GTS), Mr. Syed Ahmed Kamal, Country Manager, Western Union, Professor Amir Ali Chowdhury, Chairman and Mr. Lokman Hakim, Exceutive Director, PAGE Development Center were present on the occasion. Local elite including Teachers, Imams were also present on the ceremony.

It may me noted that PAGE started its operation in 1994 and presently have 45 branches in different part of Comilla.
