A Project Inauguration Ceremony of 25,800 spindles spinning mill implemented by Akbar Composite Limited was held on November 12, 2009 at project site of Jamirdia, Bhaluka, Mymensingh. Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Limited inaugurated the project. The Project started its commercial operation in July, 2009 and since then has been operating smoothly. The project has a capacity of producing 6 million kg. Combed yarn per year.

The project has been financed by 5 (five) Bank’s under the lead arrangement of Dhaka Bank Limited.

Mr. Al-Haj Ali Akbar Mia, Chairman of Akbar Composite Limited, Mr. Nur-E-Alam Siddike, Managing Director of Akbar Composite Limited, Mr. Tanweer Rahim, Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Limited, Senior Officials from BRAC Bank, National Bank, NCC Bank, Uttara Bank and distinguished local guests were present in the Inauguration Ceremony.
