On December 17, 2009 Dhaka Bank Ltd signed an agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under their Trade Finance Facilitation Program (TFFP) for availing credit guarantee facility from ADB. This is a strong step towards widening the international acceptability of the bank. This facility shall offer Dhaka Bank Ltd. additional lines to support trade transaction under which ADB shall issue guarantees favoring confirming banks for confirming Letters of Credit issued by the bank.

Mr. Paul Heytens, Country Director, Bangladesh Resident Mission for ADB, Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid- Managing Director & Mr. Kaiser Tamiz Amin-Deputy Managing Director for Dhaka Bank Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of respective organizations. Mr. Steven Beck, Head Trade Finance, Private Sector Operations Department of ADB, Mr. Syed Faisal Omar, SAVP & In-Charge, GTS and Mr. Syed Naushad Zaman, Financial Institutions, GTS of Dhaka Bank Ltd were also present in signing ceremony.
