Emranul Huq has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Limited. Prior to his new assignment, he served the Bank as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Banking. Mr. Huq, a career Banker with over 25 years of experience both at home and abroad, started his career with Bank of Credit & Commerce International (BCCI) in Dhaka as Management Trainee in 1986. He also worked at Eastern Bank Limited in Dhaka and Credit Africa Bank Limited in Zambia in various capacities before joining Dhaka Bank Limited in 1998 where he served as Manager of the Bank’s leading corporate Branches including Dhanmondi, Banani, Gulshan and Local Office. He attended various professional banking training programmes at home and abroad, including a comprehensive International Banking course in Germany. He is a Certified Corporate Banker and a Fellow of the American Academy of Financial Management.
